Maureen Catell, LMT, has been practicing massage since 2005 and is certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. Maureen received her initial training at the Daytona College of Massage Therapy in Daytona Beach, Florida where she graduated at the top of her class. Maureen’s training includes: Trigger Point, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Prenatal massage, Acupressure, Myofascial release and Qi Gong. She has worked closely with chiropractors and has experience as a certified Chiropractic Assistant.
Maureen treats a wide range of conditions, including whiplash, knee injuries, sciatica, low back and neck strains due to auto accidents, personal injury and work related injuries. Utilizing a variety of modalities, Maureen works to assist patients in relieving stress, reducing chronic pain and correcting musculoskeletal dysfunction. Clients appreciate her skill and specific knowledge of anatomy.
Maureen has also had many years of experience with Prenatal massage. She enjoys sharing this special and sacred time in a woman’s life while easing the pain and discomfort that can arise in a rapidly changing, pregnant body. As a mother herself, she understands what you are feeling, both physically and emotionally, and loves nothing more than sharing her joy, excitement, and healing touch with expecting and post-partum mothers. Dedicated to her studies of herbal and nutritional medicine, she also integrates exercises and self-care creating a custom treatment, designed for your individual healthcare needs.Maureen’s continuing education plans include the completion of her herbal and nutritional studies as well as Shiatsu training in NYC.
